2.3 Data Acquisition
The IoT gateway supports a wide range of standard industrial communication protocols and customized private protocols, such as Modbus RTU/TCP and OPC UA. It collects data from various sensors and control devices and provides high-speed acquisition to ensure real-time performance and accuracy. Supported acquisition protocols include serial and Ethernet communication protocols across general standards, power-industry standards, intelligent buildings, PLCs, hydrology and environmental protection, flow meters, smart lighting, PV inverters, UPS, fire alarms, and other fields. Vendor-customized and private protocols are also supported.
Data acquisition is divided into I/O points and internal points. I/O points are driver acquisition points, while internal points include system points, calculation points, and user points. For each acquisition requirement, I/O points require channel, device, and Tag-point configuration. Internal points are used only within the project. For channel, device, and Tag-point settings for each driver, see the corresponding driver communication document.
